Too much stuff might just be the reason you aren’t living the life you want and are still waiting for ‘someday’ to happen so all of your dreams come true. All that ‘stuff’ is holding you back.
Our homes are a mirror to our thoughts and beliefs, so if you have a belief (about whatever) that is holding you back (and you do) from achieving your dreams and goals, you can bet that it is mirrored in your home as some form of physical clutter.
It might be a belief that you are ‘not good enough’ or ‘there is never enough’, but whatever the limiting beliefs are that you have about you, you might not recognize it in your home. And if you don’t know what it is, you can’t get rid of it.
Physical clutter can (and does) take on many, many forms, so it helps to know what you are looking for in order to de-clutter the crap that is holding you back. Physical clutter is anything that:
* you are keeping ‘just in case’
* is broken or has missing pieces
* is an unfinished project
* you are keeping out of a sense of obligation
* is too nice to use
* is in the ‘when I get around to it’ pile
Anything that falls into these categories is clutter and needs to be gotten rid of, put away or dealt with in some other way. But it needs to be done now. It may take a little time, and that is okay. When you are being intentional about de-cluttering the physical and examining the limiting beliefs that have you keeping those things in the first place, the time it takes is worth it. And that worth will be mirrored back to you by how quickly you start living the life you want.
